RUFUS COOL is a stripped down acoustic sound that draws songs from The Beatles, to Old Crow Medicine Show, to Jack White, to Sheryl Crow.  Rufus Cool is comprised of talented guitar man Ron Sporleader, and vocalist Alicia Manuel Kessler. Ron has played in many bands over the last 50 some years, in different genres and capacities. Alicia has been singing for folks since she was 8 years old. Ron and Alicia have been friends for nearly 15 years - but the timing wasn't ever quite right to forge their own sound. Now, both residents of the lovely hamlet of Strasburg, they are taking the opportunity to explore what it means to take a song, unplug it and see what's left.
